Biography
Based in northern British Columbia, the Chris Goodwin Band (CGB) brings a fresh edge to modern country with roots grounded in small-town life, hard work, and honest storytelling. Known for their energetic live shows and blue-collar lyrics, CGB blends classic country influence with a modern rock twist, creating a sound that feels both familiar and current on today’s country scene.
CGB's debut single, Shot of Jack Daniels, dropped in 2022 and climbed to #2 on independent country charts, marking their arrival on the national stage. Follow-up singles like Don't You Wanna Truck? and Perfect Stranger earned airplay on SiriusXM Top of the Country, while Yeah I Do broke into the top 5 on independent charts. Their 2025 releases, including G n’ R Tee and Like I’ve Never Been Loved Before—produced by 2025 BCCMA Producers of the Year, The Renaissance—gained traction with SiriusXM and landed on editorial playlists across Spotify and Apple Music. Their latest single, Workin’ Song, continued that run as a gritty anthem for the hard-working crowd.
CGB’s next single, ’Cause That Girl (also produced by The Renaissance), drops worldwide on April 24, 2026, building on their signature mix of high-energy country and modern edge.
With performances at major events like Best Damn Music Fest (opening for Dean Brody, Corb Lund, and The Washboard Union), Crossroads Streetfest (opening for CCMA-winning duo Nice Horse), and the 2025 BCCMA Awards Showcase, CGB continues to carve out their place in the Canadian country scene—with more music on the way.
